1. Wardrobe Choices:

  • Opt for Loose Clothing: Tight clothing can irritate freshly waxed skin, so choose loose, breathable fabrics for the first 24 hours.

2. Hands Off:

  • Avoid Touching: Resist the urge to touch the waxed area, as this can introduce bacteria and cause irritation or pimples.

3. Soothe and Protect:

  • Skip the Heat: Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, tanning beds, and direct sunlight for 24 hours after your wax.
  • Gentle Exfoliation: After 48 hours, you can gently exfoliate to help prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Tend Skin Solution: If you experience ingrown hairs, ask me about Tend Skin Solution. It's a fantastic product for soothing and preventing ingrown hairs.

1. Timing Matters:

  • Menstrual Cycle: To minimize discomfort, schedule your wax a few days before or after your period. Most salons won't perform Brazilian waxes during your period due to increased sensitivity.
  • Cleanse and Exfoliate: A warm shower and gentle exfoliation before your appointment will help remove dead skin cells and prep the area for waxing.

2. Prep Your Skin (and Hair):

  • Skip the Lotions and Deodorants: Avoid applying these products on the day of your waxing appointment.
  • Let It Grow: Ensure your hair is at least ¼ inch long – the ideal length for waxing. No need to trim beforehand!
  • Mind Your Medications: Certain medications like Accutane or Retin-A can affect your skin's reaction to waxing.Let me know if you're using any medications so I can advise you on the best course of action.
